Scared Stiff was a cowardly Robot Ghost that falls to pieces a lot. He served Prime Evil.
Scared Stiff had a nervous, high-strung personality, seen in his posture, mannerisms, voice, and his tendency to fall apart. It's implied that, when he falls apart, he doesn't know exactly how to put himself back together.
He's been described as "a wimpy C-3PO" or as "a wimpy Terminator endoskeleton". He follows the typical futuristic / technological aesthetic common amoungst Prime Evil's minions
No backstory has ever been given, but in the episode The Haunting Of Gizmo he implies that he's from some point in the future.

- He was originally designed as a more traditional robot, almost like Robby from Forbidden Planet, B-9 from Lost in Space, or an anthropomorphic computer mainframe. This first design looked bulky and awkward, hence "Scared Stiff".
- He's known as "Scuotiossa" in the Italian translation ("bone shaker").
- "Stiff" is a slang term for a corpse. Which fits with the undead theme of Prime Evil's henchmen.
