Ghost Termites were terrorizing Mr. Smythe's Wastaway Plant in 1986 because they were attracted by the toxic chemicals being processed there. The Ghostbusters were called in to dematerialize them and soon managed to get rif of all of them.
Sometime in the future, Megopolis was attacked by Monster Ghost Termites and Futura called in the help from the 1986 Ghostbusters to defeat them. Jessica Wray was also on the scene to film a news item.
The Ghostbusters defeated the giant Ghost Termites by jumping on their backs and hitting the monsters with a specially prepared Ghost Swatter.
