The French Painter was painting a house when Screamer bumped into his ladder, causing the Painter to fall down and his bucket of paint to land on his head. Some of the white paint ended up on a lock of Tracy the Gorilla's hair that Screamer had just cut off. When Count De La Grumpette used this lock of hair to create a ghost duplicate of Tracy, it ended up having one white hand.
