Prime Evil lures the Ghostbusters to a haunted house in Salem in order to steal their Ghost Dematerializer. He makes sure Futura is unable to meet them there by sending her further into the past than she planned, to 1692, the year of the great witch hunt.

Moral[]

Skelevision: "In today's story, the people in old Salem weren't afraid of witches, they were afraid of the unknown."
Belfry: "Eh, that's something I can understand, 'cause, well, I'm a little bit afraid of the dark."
Skelevision: "But I'll bet you're not afraid once the lights have been turned on?"
Belfry: "Of couse not."
Skelevision: "Then it's not the dark you're afraid of, Belfry, it's what you can't see, the unknown."
Belfry: "I get it: once I learn about something, I don't have to be afraid any more. Oh, I like it. Try it, you will too!"

Trivia[]

Futura uses a jewel around her neck to travel through time instead of her Time Hopper.
Scared Stiff is visible in several scenes keeping track of the viewscreen on the Bone Troller, but does not speak.
Jake calls upon Fuddy to give him super strength. He gains super speed instead.
Corky's dog Bones appears for the first time here, but his introductory story comes much later, in Doggone Werewolf.
Prime Evil is actually dematerialized in this episode thanks to added power from Futura's Jewel.
Brat-A-Rat was also dematerialized this way, but didn't need it in the rest of the series.
