Prime Evil kidnaps Tracy and uses a machine to replace the memories Tracy has of saving the day with doctored ones where he fails.
Moral[]
Skelevision: "In today's story, Jake had to work hard to bring Tracy's memory back. But he kept on trying, even when it seemed as though he'd never do it. And he did it! You probably had the same feeling some time, when you thought you'd never finish your homework. The next time you think you've got too much to do, and you feel like giving up, think about Jake and stick with it. And I'll bet ya, you'll get your job done, too."
Trivia[]
- Just before being kidnapped, Tracy is working on a molel version of Ghost Buggy.
- Tracy's altered memories are taken from the episodes The Fourth Ghostbuster; Statue of Liberty and The Great Ghost Gorilla.
- Although the episode The Fourth Ghostbuster follows "Tracy, Come Back" on the DVD order, Prime Evil states that this encounter happened 'a long time ago'.
- The transformation sequence is altered because Tracy has been kidnapped. Jake and Eddie don't do a high five, but shout 'Lets go, Ghostbusters' while running towards the Skelevator. The button pushing sequence is missing and of course so is the part with Tracy pulling the cord and joining the guys in jumping down the chute.
- Writer Don Heckman had earlier written an episode of Filmation's She-Ra, Princess of Power with a similar concept called The Time Transformer. This story also featured flashbacks to earlier episodes which were altered to make the bad guys seem triumphant.
